How to judge a roof repair provider for yourself
We don't publish reviews on this site yet. When real reviews are added, each will link to its public source. Until then, here is how to judge any provider you are considering.
Do your homework
How to judge who you hire.
Ask for proof of coverage
Ask for current liability insurance and WorkSafeBC coverage. You can check WorkSafeBC status with the board directly.
Get written quotes
Ask at least two providers to quote the same scope in writing, including materials, cleanup, permits and exclusions.
Check public reviews and history
Read recent reviews on independent sites, and look for how a provider handles complaints. Be wary of only five-star praise with no detail.
Confirm the warranty
Ask what the workmanship warranty covers, how long it lasts and who to call. Ask how a repair affects any manufacturer or home warranty.
Watch for pressure
Be careful of a provider who demands full payment up front or insists you must decide on the spot. Ask to see evidence of any problem they report.
Got a roof problem in Richmond?
Send the form, call the number at the top of the page, or email. We'll try to connect you with an independent provider. If water is coming in right now, phone a local roofer directly as well.
No obligation. The provider sets the price.
